History:

Club Comité Cívico Mexicano de Guadalupe was formed in 1923 by a group of Guadalupe citizens who wanted to make sure that the customs, values and cultural traditions of the Mexican (born here or in Mexico) were no lost.

Today:

The predominant, and ongoing project, is to sponsor and promote the annual Fiestas Patrias celebrations in Guadalupe.

Comité Cívico also helps to sponsor various community events. The organization currently supports the CAPSLO Migrant Headstart by leasing space to them. Until recently the Comité also housed the Family Service Agency’s “Little House by the Park.
