Announcements
CAPSLO
CAPSLO will be closing their center for the season this month. It will be closed on 10/25 for kids and then on 10/27 for staff. There is a March 4th, 2024 restart date for staff and for kids on April 1, 2024. Additionally, Open Streets will be happening in Santa Maria on Sunday, October 8.
Guadalupe Business Association
Garret shared that there is a new board in place:

- Judy Wilson, Vice President
- Ernesto Valle, Vice President – Sponsorships
- Melanie Backer, Secretary
- Tirzo Lopez, Treasurer
Guadalupe Visual and Performing Arts Center
Garret provided a reminder that the big DeMille weekend is October 6, 7, and 8. A VIP dinner is happening in Nipomo at the Edwards Barn on the 6th. A full day of film-related events happens on the 7th, ending with a (ticketed) partial showing of the movie with live musicians. Sunday the 8th features panel discussions, bounce houses, an archeological dig for kids, showing of the film in various locations and a co-sponsored 3rd annual Taste of Guadalupe with several restaurants providing $5 specials throughout the day. Next month’s meeting will be held at the Guadalupe Social Club on November 3rd at 3:30pm.
