History:

Savie Health is Santa Barbara County’s only free health clinic for lower income, uninsured community members, and was opened in June of 2022 after Dr. Ahmad Nooristani saw the need for such services in his role as Chief Hospitalist at Lompoc Valley Medical Center. Savie has served over 750 community members since opening, and will soon take Medi-Cal as well. All services will remain free, including costs of labs and imaging.

Today:

Savie provides free medical, behavioral health, and vision care for lower income community members. The clinic’s primary focus is on disease prevention. Also provided are women’s health, case management, telehealth by text, and referrals to specialists willing to see clinic patients free of charge. Savie provides services to a large number of farmworkers, and works to address these individuals’ unique health needs. The clinic is in the process of becoming a Medi-Cal provider, and will be able to accept patients with this form of insurance when the clinic is approved. Savie pays for mammograms and colonoscopies, and is able to offer flu and COVID shots (with tb screening coming soon). Savie will be holding a free vaccination clinic, health fair, and jacket drive February 17 from 1-3, community members are invited to attend.

Mission Statement:

Savie Health provides free medical, behavioral health, and vision care to lower-income community members regardless of race, ethnicity, immigration status, age, sexual orientation, or gender.
